Dmitriy Makhnovskiy, male, Nationality is British.
He got his PhD in Applied Physics from University of Plymouth, UK in 2004.
Research interests: @Electrodynamics of composite materials @Characterization of soft ferromagnetic materials @Magneto-impedance sensors @Microwave measurements on vector network analyzers and sampling oscilloscopes @Signal integrity and signal processing
Work: 20 years of academic research and teaching in two countries, Russia and UK 3 years of industrial experience in UK Wide international collaborations: Russia, UK, Spain, Moldova, China, and Lebanon.
Achievements: Developed, in collaboration with Prof. Larissa Panina, a tensor theory of the magnetic impedance (MI) effect that predetermined a wide range of applications of this remarkable effect for magnetic sensors and tuneable microwave media. Designed and built several microwave experimental rigs for research laboratories in UK, Spain, Moldova, Russia, and China. Was able to apply research experience accumulated in academia for solving actual technical problems arising in commercial applications.
